As the founder and managing member of Decker Wealth Management LLC, Bill’s primary responsibilities include the development and application of investment strategy for our clients.

Bill’s career experience includes 11+ years with Morgan Stanley where he served as Senior Vice President – Investments and 5+ years with US Trust/Bank of America where he served as Senior Vice President & Private Client Advisor. At both firms, he focused on wealth management for high net worth individuals and families.

Bill completed his undergraduate studies at Baylor University, earning a bachelor’s degree with a public administration major. After applying this mix of economics and political science to his first job with the City of Los Angeles, he earned an MBA from Pepperdine University. Post-graduate studies have included a number of corporate-sponsored opportunities unique to the financial services industry, including an intensive program held onsite at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.

Bill is involved in a number of local community programs in Nashville and serves on the board of his church, The Village Chapel. He and his wife Courtenay have four children.

Valerie (Val) Mayfield has worked with Bill Decker for over eight years, the last six of which she has been directly responsible for coordinating all service and operational issues for clients. Val’s experience includes a wide array of positions & responsibilities at major financial service firms, including serving as operations manager for a brokerage office of 40+ employees before joining Decker Wealth Management.

In addition to her role coordinating client services, Val also serves as the firm’s chief compliance officer.

Val enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
